Any age level can enjoy and absorb the information that make our town rich in history.
Historic Bluffton preservation Minutes
A series of short (1-2 minute) videos that focus on details of the historical and cultural past in Bluffton. From artifacts in the Heyward House, to documents in our Caldwell Archives, these videos will feature different volunteers and staff members who share their favorite “nuggets” of our collective story.
Heyward House
Mini Tour
A virtual visit, with Docent Brad Wolff, explores a few of the highlights of four of the Heyward House rooms. Designed to offer just a taste of our many stories and facts about the house, this 6-minute overview is just enough to make you want to visit and learn more. Our House Tour normally lasts about 45 minutes, and covers the six rooms in the house and the two outbuildings on property.
Documentary Film
Our 40-minute documentary film, “Bluffton, SC - A May River State of Mind”, is viewable for free, and features the narrative gleaned from interviews of 21 Bluffton townsfolk.
These storytellers each have a perspective on what it was like in Bluffton in the early to mid-1900s. With original music and archival photos and rare film footage, this movie captures the essence of life on the May River, as the town grew and flourished.
